Bertelsmann Lexikon Verlag

Gütersloh, München: In May 2002, the Bertelsmann Lexikon Verlag (Gütersloh and München) published the revised edition of “Wahrig, Die deutsche Rechtschreibung” (dictionary of German spellings). CLT supports Bertelsmann with the use of sophisticated language technology methods for lexicography. Our work is based on a corpus of the currently spoken German with 500 million annotated words, which we have compiled on behalf of the Bertelsmann Lexikon Verlag. Scientific consultant of this project is Prof. Dr. Manfred Pinkal, Computer Linguistics, University of the Saarland in Saarbrücken.
